Community Garden

The community garden was built with sustainability as its core principle. We will plant fruits and vegetables with the goal of providing fresh food to those who need it, via the Cougar Food Pantry. We hope to encourage the WSU community to join us in our pursuit of gardening and environmental health.

Improving Waste Management

The goal of the recycling expansion project is to make recycling options more accessible to students and faculty on campus. We hope to accomplish this by adding more locations where recycling is collected and monitoring the effectiveness of new signage. In the future, we also hope to work with WSU dining to add compost options in dining halls. In this project, students are active in redesigning and testing waste management signage, expanding recycling locations, and engaging with WSU staff and faculty to improve waste management.

Improving Access to Water Bottle Filler Stations

The goal of the water filler expansion project is to reduce plastic waste on campuses and create such opportunities more accessible to students and individuals in Beasley Coliseum. We hope to accomplish this by implementing and adding more stations in the Coliseum. In this project, we utilize the Green Fund to pay for these new stations.
